Emergency Department Expansion - The Canberra Hospital

While at SHAPE, the Brindabella PM team formed part of the broader project team delivering a modular expansion to an operational Emergency Department under a Design and Construct model.

Contributing to Project Management and Design Management functions, the team supported the delivery of a modular structure elevated over an adjacent service area, enabling expansion within a constrained site and without available staging space. The solution facilitated ongoing emergency operations while internal refurbishment works progressed, with compliance requirements carefully managed due to the building classification.

Delivered across multiple stages, the project was completed with no unplanned disruption to Emergency Department operations despite high patient volumes throughout the construction period.
