Yarning Circle University of Canberra

Project Management & Superintendency

The Yarning Circle at the University of Canberra is a culturally significant outdoor learning and gathering space delivered in partnership with the Ngunnawal Centre. Designed to support connection, storytelling and knowledge sharing, the space provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, staff and the broader university community.

Brindabella Project Management acted as client-side project manager and superintendent, leading the project from design through to construction in collaboration with Jane Irwin Landscape Architecture (JILA) and Cercol. The project was carefully delivered within a sensitive landscape setting, with a strong focus on cultural respect, stakeholder engagement and buildability.

The outcome is a thoughtful and enduring place that reflects connection to Country, supports student wellbeing, and enhances the University’s commitment to culturally safe spaces on campus.
